How this free citizenship test app works
This site is a free, installable web app for people preparing for the Canadian citizenship test. Every question is an original practice question written from the facts in Discover Canada: The Rights and Responsibilities of Citizenship โ the one official study guide from which IRCC draws all real test questions. Nothing here is copied from the real test (IRCC does not publish its questions), and every answer comes with a short explanation so you learn the fact, not just the letter.
You can practise chapter by chapter โ rights and responsibilities, Canadian history, government, elections, symbols, the economy and the regions โ and your progress is saved on your own device, with no account and no sign-up. When you feel ready, the mock test reproduces the current official format exactly: 20 questions drawn from all chapters, a 45-minute countdown that submits automatically when time runs out, and a pass mark of 15 out of 20 (75%). Add this page to your phone's home screen and it behaves like a normal app, even offline.

Study the way the test is built
IRCC builds the test from the ten chapters of Discover Canada. The fastest preparation mirrors that structure: read a chapter of the guide, then answer that chapter's questions here until you are consistently above 80%. Our study guide pages summarize every chapter in plain language, and the study tips page lays out a simple two-week plan. If you are still checking whether you qualify, start with eligibility, requirements and cost.

Start a mock test โIs this the official test?
No โ and no third-party site can offer that. This is an independent study tool, not affiliated with IRCC or the Government of Canada. IRCC never publishes its real questions; anyone claiming to sell "real test questions" should not be trusted. What we can honestly offer is thorough practice built from the same official book the real questions come from โ which is exactly how IRCC itself tells you to prepare: study Discover Canada, and understand it well.
